Wizz Air Returns to the UAE: New Flights to Dubai and Abu Dhabi
Budget carrier Wizz Air is making a comeback in the UAE, announcing that it will resume weekly flight operations to both Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The airline confirmed through social media that it is re-establishing its presence across several regional hubs, including Amman and Jeddah, with a total of 12 routes and 49 flights scheduled each week. According to the airlineâs booking portal, travelers can secure seats starting from October 25, with entry-level fares priced at Dh289.
This return marks a significant shift for the company, which had previously suspended its Abu Dhabi operations in September 2025 citing a combination of intense market competition, regulatory hurdles, and regional geopolitical instability. As a joint venture between ADQ and Wizz Air Holdings, the carrier previously enjoyed a strong year in 2024, transporting over 3.5 million passengers and successfully launching popular subscription programs like "All You Can Fly." With daily flights now appearing on their schedule, the airline is clearly looking to reclaim its position in the competitive Middle Eastern budget travel sector.
