UAE Weather Update: Temperatures to Soar to 49ºC Across Internal Regions
Residents in the UAE should prepare for another scorching day as the National Centre of Meteorology predicts fair to partly cloudy skies for Friday. While conditions will remain relatively clear, internal regions of the country are bracing for extreme heat, with temperatures expected to climb as high as 49ºC. Coastal cities will also feel the burn, as the mercury is forecast to hit 43ºC in Abu Dhabi and 40ºC in Dubai, accompanied by light to moderate winds that could occasionally pick up speed, reaching 35 kmph.
As the sun sets, the atmosphere will turn humid, particularly across coastal zones, where there is a distinct possibility of mist or fog developing by early Saturday morning. Humidity levels are expected to fluctuate between 25 and 85 percent in Abu Dhabi and 35 to 90 percent in Dubai. Despite the intense heat during the day, nighttime lows will drop to around 30ºC in the major cities, while those in mountainous areas can expect a slightly cooler 28ºC. Sea conditions are projected to remain calm, with only slight activity anticipated in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
