Starting Monday, September 14, Abu Dhabi Mobility will implement a new speed limit on the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Street (E311). Motorists traveling in both directions along this stretch will need to adhere to a reduced maximum speed of 100kmph, down from the previous 120kmph. This adjustment specifically affects the corridor between the At Turoush Street/Tawi Al Qaymah Street junctions and the Al Khayr Street interchange, covering areas from Al Shamkhah in the north to Madinat Al Riyad and Baniyas Cemetery in the south.

This latest adjustment is part of a broader, ongoing effort by Abu Dhabi authorities to enhance road safety through strategic speed management. Over the past few years, the emirate has frequently reviewed and updated traffic regulations, including lowering limits on key routes like the Abu Dhabi–Al Ain Road (E22) and Al Rawdah Road (E30), alongside the implementation of variable speed limit systems on major thoroughfares.
