After weeks of intense heat and sticky humidity, the UAE is finally seeing signs that the sweltering summer season is nearing its conclusion. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) reported a welcome shift on Friday morning, with Raknah in Al Ain recording the lowest temperature of the summer so far at a refreshing 18.8°C. Known for its extreme weather variations, Raknah is no stranger to such fluctuations, having even seen sub-zero temperatures and frost during the depths of winter in past years.

While the mornings are becoming noticeably more pleasant, experts suggest that residents should remain patient as the shift toward cooler weather will be gradual. Daytime conditions are expected to stay warm for some time, even as the official end of summer aligns with the autumnal equinox on September 23. Looking further ahead, meteorologists are also anticipating a wetter transition into the winter months, with forecasts indicating that the country may experience above-average rainfall between October and January.
