Moza Ahmed, a Grade 12 student at the American School of Creative Science in Nad Al Sheba, is set to take her leadership experience to the world stage after being selected for the inaugural Global Youth Council Fellowship. Previously serving as the first chairperson of Dubai’s Students Council, Moza played a pivotal role in bridging the gap between nearly 400,000 students and the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA). Her work in Dubai involved leading a diverse group of representatives to ensure student feedback directly influenced local educational policies, a process she credits with teaching her that true leadership relies on trusting young people with genuine responsibility.

As part of this prestigious year-long international fellowship, Moza will join a select cohort of 16- to 18-year-olds from across the globe to engage in mentorship, collaborative projects, and an international summit. Representing the UAE, she aims to share the values of innovation and proactive engagement that define Dubai’s approach to student advocacy. Her principal, Sarah Hollis, expressed pride in Moza’s achievement, noting that the young leader is well-prepared to serve as an ambassador for her country and demonstrate the power of empowering youth in shaping the future of education.
