The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a special round of examinations for Class 12 students in the UAE and six other West Asian nations—Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia—whose academic year was disrupted by regional instability. This initiative covers 40 subjects, including both academic and skill-based courses, and is specifically designed for students whose results were previously determined through a special assessment scheme. Eligible regular and private candidates who participated in the 2026 Main Examination can apply between September 22 and September 26, 2026, with no examination fees required. It is important to note that the marks obtained in these fresh exams will be final and will replace any previous scores for those subjects.

These special exams are distinct from the standard Supplementary Examinations and are exclusively available to those who had their original exam forms submitted for the 2026 Main session. Students who were absent during the initial exams or those who were not originally registered are not eligible to participate, and there is no option to change subjects. Families should also note the distinction between this one-time special arrangement and the new two-board exam policy introduced for Class 10 students this year. While Class 10 now features a two-exam structure, Class 12 continues to follow the traditional Main and Supplementary examination system. Parents and students are strongly encouraged to consult their school’s examination department directly to verify eligibility and registration procedures rather than relying on unofficial sources.
