India Denies Existence of Unofficial Ministry Advisers

Mon, Jul 6, 2026(3h ago)World

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has officially dismissed recent social media claims suggesting that certain individuals are serving as policy advisers to the government. The ministry issued a stern warning following reports that various accounts were falsely asserting their influence over critical national sectors, including trade, migration, and other administrative policy matters.

These fraudulent accounts were reportedly charging unsuspecting users for "consultation sessions" and promising guidance on how to secure work or influence within the ministry. Emphasizing that no such connection exists between these entities and the government, the MEA has urged the public to remain vigilant and avoid falling victim to these deceptive schemes. The ministry’s clarification serves as a strong reminder to verify information through official channels rather than trusting unauthorized online solicitations.
