Tragic Discovery: Indian Worker’s Body Recovered from Kuwaiti Desert

Wed, Jul 8, 2026(1h ago)World

Kuwaiti authorities have finally recovered the remains of an Indian worker buried in the remote Al Salmi desert, putting an end to a months-long search that began when he went missing in March 2026. The victim had originally traveled to the area with a heavy equipment owner to perform maintenance work, but he never returned. Investigations revealed that the man died in a workplace accident after a crane collapsed on him, a tragedy that the suspects attempted to cover up by burying his body in the sand to escape legal consequences.

The breakthrough in the case came after police reviewed traffic surveillance footage, which showed the victim traveling toward the desert with the suspect, but not inside the vehicle on the return trip. Upon being questioned, the suspect’s son admitted to the crime, detailing how he and his father had conspired to hide the death. While the son is currently in police custody and has led officials to the burial site, authorities are still actively searching for the father, who remains at large as legal proceedings continue.
