Over 21,000 Pakistanis Deported from Gulf Nations in Recent Crackdown

Sat, Aug 22, 2026(1h ago)World

According to recent reports presented in the National Assembly, nearly 22,000 Pakistani citizens were deported from various Gulf countries between March 1 and July 13, 2026. This information was disclosed in a formal response to MNA Hameed Hussain, detailing that the repatriations were primarily driven by issues such as visa overstays, illegal begging, the use of fraudulent documentation, and general immigration violations.

The data further highlights the severity of the situation, noting that thousands of individuals faced additional legal repercussions, including imprisonment and permanent blacklisting. Specifically, the report accounted for thousands of absconders, alongside cases involving lost travel documents and entry refusals. Notable figures include significant deportation numbers from Saudi Arabia and the UAE, while several individuals were also extradited through Interpol. These statistics underscore a tightening of immigration enforcement across the region.
