Dubai Holding Community Management Launches Innovative ‘Sea to Soil’ Sustainability Project

Tue, Jun 23, 2026(4h ago)Business

Dubai Holding Community Management has taken a bold step toward environmental sustainability by partnering with ReFarm Global to introduce a groundbreaking "Sea to Soil" initiative. This unique collaboration focuses on a circular economy model that repurposes marine and organic waste into high-quality, regenerative landscaping materials. By utilizing advanced resource recovery technology, the project aims to transform waste streams that typically burden the environment into a valuable asset for maintaining community greenery.

The initiative, which is already underway, is set to make a significant impact on Palm Jumeirah, particularly during the peak algae seasons. By the end of 2026, the program aims to divert over 20 tonnes of algae waste, converting it into nutrient-rich soil products that improve plant health and decrease the reliance on traditional waste disposal. Both organizations view this as a scalable blueprint for urban sustainability, proving that integrating regenerative infrastructure into community management can effectively turn environmental challenges into tangible, long-term benefits for the UAE.
