Agthia’s Profits Surge Nearly Threefold Amidst Supply Chain Challenges
Abu Dhabi-based food and beverage giant Agthia Group has delivered a strong performance for the first nine months of 2026, with net profits soaring by nearly 191% to Dh154.6 million. This impressive growth was fueled by a 9.6% rise in total revenue, reaching Dh3.9 billion, alongside significant gains in operating efficiency. Even as the company navigated rising costs in freight, distribution, and raw materials, its strategic business transformation efforts have clearly begun to pay off, resulting in a 36.7% boost in EBITDA to Dh433.6 million.
While the company remains optimistic about its long-term trajectory—bolstered by robust growth in its water and agri-business segments and an 18.1% jump in e-commerce sales—management acknowledges ongoing headwinds. Both the Chairman and CEO emphasized the necessity of agility in the face of regional supply chain disruptions and persistent input cost pressures. Moving forward, Agthia plans to double down on digital innovation and operational flexibility to maintain its momentum, even as it prepares for the continued impact of volatile global logistics costs in the coming months.
