Burjeel Holdings Sees Significant Profit Surge as Patient Demand Climbs
Abu Dhabi-based healthcare giant Burjeel Holdings has reported a robust financial performance for the first nine months of the year, highlighted by a 42.1% jump in recurring net profit to Dh412 million. Total revenue for the period climbed to Dh4.3 billion, a 5.6% increase supported by a 13.1% rise in patient visits across the group's extensive network of hospitals and specialized clinics. This momentum carried strongly into the third quarter, which saw revenue hit Dh1.54 billion and a notable 17% increase in core EBITDA, driven by a surge in both outpatient and inpatient activity.
The company’s growth is anchored by its hospital segment, which accounts for nearly 90% of total revenue. Key facilities, such as Burjeel Medical City, saw significant improvements in bed occupancy and patient volumes, bolstered by the launch of seven new medical centers across the UAE and Oman. Beyond physical expansion, Burjeel is heavily investing in advanced medical technologies, including organ transplantation services and AI-integrated cardiac labs. With a strengthened balance sheet, improved operating cash flows, and a successful $500 million sukuk issuance, the group is well-positioned to continue its strategic transformation and commitment to high-tech, sustainable healthcare delivery.
