e& Reports Strong H1 2026 Growth as Subscriber Numbers Surge

Fri, Jul 31, 2026(45d ago)Business

Abu Dhabi’s technology giant, e&, has posted impressive financial results for the first half of 2026, with consolidated revenue climbing 11.6% to Dh38.1 billion. This growth was fueled by a robust performance across its telecommunications and digital sectors, alongside a significant expansion in its global reach, which saw the total subscriber base jump by over 30% to 251.5 million. Profitability remained steady as well, with Ebitda rising 13.1% to reach Dh17.7 billion, and consolidated net profit hitting Dh6 billion.

The company’s strong showing comes on the heels of a major strategic overhaul of its investment portfolio, most notably the exit from its stake in Vodafone Group and a partial divestment of its share in Careem Technologies. Chairman Jassem Mohamed Bu Ataba Alzaabi highlighted that these results validate the group's long-term digital strategy and its ability to adapt to global market shifts. Meanwhile, Group CEO Masood M. Sharif Mahmood attributed the ongoing success to the firm’s commitment to portfolio diversification and the strategic integration of artificial intelligence, which have together bolstered operational resilience and provided a solid foundation for future growth.
