Sharjah Offers Affordable Licensing for Tech Startups

Thu, Oct 29, 2026(1h ago)Business

Tech entrepreneurs looking to establish their ventures in the UAE can now take advantage of a highly competitive licensing offer in Sharjah. As part of the recent 'Sharjah Next' event, the Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP)—also known as Spark—has introduced two specialized packages, Beyond and Beyond Plus, with entry-level pricing starting at just Dh1,500. This initiative is designed to lower the barriers to entry for founders, providing them with a streamlined registration process and immediate access to a robust, innovation-focused ecosystem.

The promotional packages are specifically tailored for startups operating in high-growth sectors, including artificial intelligence, sustainable energy, advanced manufacturing, robotics, and digital transformation. Hussain Al Mahmoudi, CEO of Spark, emphasized that the goal is to position Sharjah as a launchpad for future-ready solutions, guiding companies from the conceptual phase to international commercial success. By fostering a collaborative environment that bridges the gap between academic research, industrial application, and investment, the free zone aims to empower local innovators to build scalable, globally competitive businesses.
