EMSTEEL Posts Impressive 157% Q2 Profit Surge
Abu Dhabi-based manufacturer EMSTEEL delivered a stellar financial performance in the second quarter of 2026, recording a net profit of Dh262 million—a massive 157% jump compared to the previous year. This growth was driven by a combination of higher market prices for steel and cement, alongside a disciplined approach to operational costs. Overall revenue climbed 11% to reach Dh2.4 billion, while the company’s EBITDA margin saw a significant expansion to 19.1%. Even as logistics costs rose due to regional instability impacting raw material supply chains, the firm managed to maintain robust profitability and ended the first half of the year with a strengthened net cash position of Dh1.64 billion.
The company’s growth was bolstered by strong performances across its core segments, with the cement division notably seeing a 29% increase in revenue. Innovation remains a primary focus for EMSTEEL, highlighted by the recent launch of its ES600 high-strength steel rebar, designed to improve efficiency in major infrastructure and high-rise projects. Group CEO Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi emphasized that this success is a testament to the company’s focus on operational excellence and long-term sustainability. Looking ahead, EMSTEEL plans to continue investing in high-tech product development to meet the shifting demands of the construction sector while delivering consistent value to its stakeholders.
