EFG Hermes Dominates MENA Brokerage Rankings in First Half of 2026
EFG Hermes has solidified its standing as a dominant force in the Middle East and North Africa’s capital markets, clinching the top brokerage spot in five key jurisdictions during the first half of 2026. According to exchange data, the firm secured the lead position on the Egyptian Exchange, Boursa Kuwait, and all three major UAE exchanges—the Dubai Financial Market, the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, and Nasdaq Dubai. Most notably, the brokerage achieved a significant jump in market share, reaching a combined 42.87% across the UAE and a commanding 65.69% share on Nasdaq Dubai, marking a dramatic rise from its third-place standing in the previous year.
Ahmed Waly, the firm’s Group Head of Brokerage, attributed this widespread success to long-term investments in high-end trading technology, talent acquisition, and strong client relationships. Beyond its leadership in the UAE, Kuwait, and Egypt, the firm is also gaining traction in Saudi Arabia, where it now ranks among the top ten brokers. By focusing on advanced algorithmic trading and institutional connectivity, EFG Hermes continues to capitalize on the increasing influx of international and local interest in regional stock markets, setting a robust pace for the remainder of the year.
