ATM 2026: A Catalyst for Gulf Tourism’s Post-Disruption Comeback

Mon, Sep 14, 2026(50m ago)Business

The Arabian Travel Market (ATM) is set to serve as a pivotal turning point for the Gulf’s tourism and hospitality sectors following a period of regional instability and significant flight disruptions. Scheduled for September 14 to 17 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, the event aims to reignite momentum and restore industry confidence. Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, emphasized that the region is prepared to recover with renewed strength, noting that Dubai is proactively creating opportunities to entice transit passengers to extend their stays, consistent with the emirate’s hallmark resilience during global crises.

This year’s exhibition, rescheduled from its usual spring dates, carries the theme “Travel 2040: Driving New Frontiers Through Innovation and Technology,” highlighting the critical roles of AI, digital transformation, and smart mobility in the future of travel. Organizers at RX Global stress that hosting the event now is more essential than ever, providing a vital platform for airlines, hotels, and industry leaders to reconnect and forge new partnerships. While acknowledging the challenges of the past few months, the focus remains firmly on moving forward with agility and a commitment to sustaining the long-term growth of the global travel community.
