SpiceJet Faces Flight Disruptions at Delhi Airport

Wed, Sep 16, 2026(1h ago)Business

Travelers departing from Delhi via SpiceJet have faced significant flight delays recently, with the airline’s Dubai-bound routes being particularly impacted. Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) acknowledged the situation on Tuesday, confirming that they are working closely with the budget carrier to manage the fallout. To assist those affected, airport staff have been actively providing food, beverages, and on-ground support to ensure passenger comfort while operations stabilize.

A spokesperson for SpiceJet clarified that the disruptions were primarily triggered by the grounding of an aircraft, which forced delays for flights SG 5111 and SG 5105. The airline noted that they arranged alternate travel options to accommodate passengers and confirmed that both flights have since reached their destination in Dubai. While the airline has expressed regret for the inconvenience, officials at Delhi Airport are encouraging passengers to keep in constant contact with their airline or seek assistance from on-site airport staff to stay updated on their travel status.
