Abu Dhabi’s IHC Announces Strategic Ownership Restructuring
International Holding Company (IHC), the Abu Dhabi-listed investment giant, has officially unveiled a new ownership structure, positioning Fount Trust as its ultimate parent entity. Despite this shift, the company emphasized that its ultimate beneficial ownership remains completely unchanged, with Royal Group continuing to function as it has previously. According to IHC, this transition is a calculated move to ensure long-term stability and institutional stewardship, allowing the firm to maintain its strategic trajectory without altering its day-to-day operations, management, or commitment to existing corporate governance standards on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange.
IHC CEO Syed Basar Shueb highlighted that this move is fundamental to the company’s vision of creating lasting value for future generations. By integrating Fount Trust into the hierarchy, the group aims to establish a framework that outlasts individual involvement, fostering patient investment and sustainable growth. This organizational update coincides with a period of aggressive expansion for the firm, which boasts a market capitalization of Dh840 billion and over 1,300 subsidiaries. Recent strategic maneuvers, ranging from entering the space technology sector through Marlan Holding to broadening its footprint in international banking and domestic manufacturing, underscore IHC’s focus on long-term value creation across its key pillars of technology, infrastructure, and financial services.
