UAE Fuel Prices Set to Drop for July 2026
Following four months of continuous hikes, motorists in the UAE will finally see some relief at the pump as fuel prices are set to decrease starting July 1, 2026. The revised rates see Super 98 petrol falling to Dh3.40 per litre, while Special 95 and E-Plus 91 will drop to Dh3.29 and Dh3.21 respectively. Diesel prices are also seeing a significant reduction, moving from Dh4.33 down to Dh3.60 per litre. These adjustments come as a welcome shift for households, as the cost of fuel has surged by over 60 percent since the onset of regional conflicts in late February.
The downward trend in global oil prices throughout June fueled widespread optimism that a price correction was on the horizon. This relief comes at a pivotal time for the nation, especially following the UAE’s strategic decision to exit OPEC and OPEC+ earlier this spring. By leaving the organization, the country has opened the door to potentially increasing its oil production capacity by up to 30 percent, a move that could reshape the domestic energy landscape and influence future market volatility for drivers across the Emirates.
