UAE Lifts Travel Restrictions for Citizens Visiting Lebanon
Starting June 29, the United Arab Emirates has officially cleared its citizens to resume travel to Lebanon. While this marks a significant shift from previous policies, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has emphasized that travel is strictly conditional. To ensure safety and compliance, all UAE nationals are required to register through the "Twajudi" platform before heading to any airport. Officials have made it clear that those who fail to complete this mandatory registration prior to departure may face lengthy travel delays or even potential legal issues.
The ministry further noted that the responsibility does not end upon arrival, as travelers must also log their return via the Twajudi service once their trip concludes. This announcement follows a precautionary travel ban implemented on April 30, which had advised citizens to avoid Lebanon, Iran, and Iraq and urged those already abroad to return home due to regional volatility. By reinstating travel access, the UAE remains focused on the welfare of its people, advising all travelers to stay updated with official advisories and to keep the emergency hotline, +971 800 24, saved in case of any urgent assistance needed while abroad.
