Meteorologist Ahmed Habib noted that this unusual summer rain could be linked to the current El Niño wave, with the humid and unsettled conditions likely to persist through Monday, August 3.

While coastal areas will experience light to moderate breezes, winds may strengthen near cloud formations, reaching gusts of up to 40km/h. Despite the chance of rain, the heat remains intense; Dubai and Abu Dhabi are bracing for highs of 45°C, while Sharjah could see temperatures climb to 46°C. With the mercury soaring and conditions shifting rapidly, authorities are urging the public to keep a close eye on official weather alerts, especially if they are located in areas prone to cloud development. Thankfully, sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are expected to remain calm throughout the day.
