New UAE Visa-on-Arrival Rules for Filipinos: Everything You Need to Know
The Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has released refreshed guidelines regarding the visa-on-arrival program for Filipino travelers heading to the UAE. This program, which officially began on June 25, is available to regular passport holders who already possess a valid residency permit or visa from specific nations. Eligible travelers include those with credentials from the US, UK, and European Union, as well as those holding residency permits from Japan, South Korea, Australia, Canada, Singapore, or New Zealand. Interested applicants can secure their visa directly at UAE airports or through the official ICP Smart Services portal.
When it comes to costs, a 14-day visa is priced at Dh100, with an option to extend for another two weeks for an additional Dh250. Alternatively, visitors can opt for a 60-day visa for Dh250, though this option does not allow for extensions. Those choosing to apply online via the ICP website should keep in mind that a service fee of Dh150 will be added to the total cost. As a final note, the DFA reminds travelers that while these criteria outline eligibility, final entry approval remains entirely at the discretion of UAE immigration officials upon arrival.
