IHC Reports Massive 195% Profit Surge in H1 2026

Wed, Aug 5, 2026(2h ago)Finance

Abu Dhabi’s International Holding Company (IHC) has delivered a stellar performance for the first half of 2026, reporting a massive 195.6% jump in net profit to Dh26.2 billion, up from Dh8.9 billion in the same period last year. This remarkable growth was largely fueled by robust gains across the firm’s diverse business verticals and strong investment income within its financial services division. The company also saw its total assets climb by nearly 10% to hit Dh469.7 billion, while maintaining a healthy cash position of Dh72.9 billion by the end of June.

CEO Syed Basar Shueb attributed these results to the company's long-term capital allocation strategy and the disciplined management of its extensive portfolio. To support its ongoing expansion, IHC deployed Dh14 billion into various joint ventures and real estate assets, while also initiating a share buyback program to deliver value to shareholders. Looking ahead, the firm remains committed to a selective investment approach, focusing on high-conviction sectors and strengthening its international platform to navigate global market uncertainties while maintaining a resilient balance sheet.
