Gold Prices in Dubai Climb as Market Rally Persists
Gold prices in Dubai maintained their upward momentum this Wednesday, building on a significant market recovery from the previous week. At the market open, the 24K variant reached Dh530.25 per gram, marking a notable increase from the previous day's closing price. This positive trend extended across all categories, with 22K, 21K, 18K, and 14K gold also seeing gains. Globally, the precious metal followed suit, with spot gold rising by 0.45 percent to hit $4,401.02 per ounce, while silver also enjoyed an uptick of 0.87 percent.
Market experts attribute this resilience to gold’s ability to withstand sell-offs, particularly its firm support level below the $4,000 mark. Ole Hansen of Saxo Bank noted that despite various economic hurdles—such as high bond yields, a strengthening dollar, and inflation worries—the yellow metal has successfully absorbed liquidation pressure from rate-sensitive investors. While the market is currently enjoying a strong rally, analysts warn that lingering inflationary pressures and ongoing discussions regarding interest rate adjustments by the Federal Reserve mean that investors should remain cautious as these risk factors continue to influence the landscape.
