UAE Weather Update: Temperatures Peak at 42°C Amidst Summer Heat

Mon, Jul 6, 2026(3h ago)UAE

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecasted fair to partly cloudy conditions across the UAE today, with some low-lying clouds drifting over the east coast. Residents should prepare for another hot day, as thermometers in Dubai are set to reach a high of 42°C, while Abu Dhabi and Sharjah will hover around the 41°C mark. Humidity levels will fluctuate significantly throughout the day, ranging from 20 to 71 percent, accompanied by light to moderate winds that could occasionally gust up to 40 kmph.

This period aligns with "Jamrat Al Qayth," the traditional timeframe recognized by the Emirates Astronomical Society as the hottest and driest stretch of the year, spanning from early July to mid-August. While this season typically marks the height of the summer intensity across the Arabian Peninsula, some lucky areas of the country recently enjoyed brief, refreshing rainfall. As the heat persists, sea conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are expected to remain relatively calm, ranging from slight to moderate.
