How to Watch Diljit Dosanjh’s 'Satluj' Following its India Ban

Tue, Jul 7, 2026(45d ago)UAE

The much-anticipated film Satluj, starring Diljit Dosanjh, has become the center of intense conversation after being pulled from Zee5 India less than two days following its digital premiere. Formerly titled Punjab '95, the movie faced a long road to release, including a three-year delay and a demand for over 120 cuts by the censor board. The film, which depicts the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, was removed from the platform in India amid growing controversy. While Zee5 has officially stated that the film is unavailable in the country until further notice, they are actively working through legal avenues to resolve the situation and have urged fans to refrain from watching pirated versions.

For viewers outside of India, including those in the UAE, the film remains accessible on the global version of Z5. International fans can watch the biographical drama by subscribing to the platform, with monthly plans starting at Dh22.99. Diljit Dosanjh himself addressed the setback during a candid Instagram live session, expressing that he had anticipated potential resistance to the film's release. Despite the disappointment of the sudden removal, both the lead actor and the streaming service have thanked the audience for their overwhelming support, maintaining hope that the film will eventually return to Indian screens.
