Dubai Municipality Overhauls 20 Key Services to Streamline User Experience
In a significant move to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction, Dubai Municipality has officially restructured 20 of its services tailored for both residents and businesses. By aligning with the cityâs âServices 360â policy, the authority has overhauled its service delivery modelâintegrating some functions into broader building licensing processes, transitioning others into simple reports or procedures, and completely discontinuing outdated offerings. For instance, tasks like residential land allocation for UAE nationals have been transitioned to the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment, while various agricultural and environmental permits have been consolidated into existing commercial licensing frameworks to reduce bureaucratic overlap.
Beyond internal consolidation, the municipality has transferred seven specialized environmental and marine services to the Dubai Environment and Climate Change Authority. This strategic handover aims to clarify government roles and minimize duplication, ensuring that users know exactly which department handles their specific needs. Manal Bin Yaarouf, Director of the Customer Happiness Department, emphasized that this transformation is part of a long-term commitment to a âcustomer-firstâ approach. By eliminating redundant steps and optimizing service pathways, the initiative seeks to provide a more seamless and proactive government experience that ultimately raises the quality of life for everyone in Dubai.
