Indian Embassy Warns UAE Residents Against Unauthorized Visa Agents
The Indian Embassy in the UAE has issued a firm advisory cautioning residents against falling prey to unauthorized agents claiming to offer passport, visa, or attestation services. Following the official termination of contracts with BLS International and SGIVS Global on July 1, 2026, the diplomatic mission emphasized that these entities are no longer authorized to handle consular tasks. The embassy warned that any individual or agency posing as an official representative is acting illegitimately, and residents are strongly urged to avoid making any payments to these third-party operators.
Currently, the Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General in Dubai are managing all consular services directly from their own premises. To streamline the process during this transition—which follows a legal dispute involving the new service provider, Alhind Global Services—the missions have made online appointment booking mandatory. All official services are available through the embassy’s dedicated portal at no cost, and the mission is actively encouraging anyone who has been misled or overcharged by fraudulent entities to report the incidents immediately through official communication channels.
