Dubai Launches 'Happiness Card' to Support Emirati Newlyweds

Tue, Jul 28, 2026(45d ago)UAE

To bolster the "Dubai Weddings" initiative, the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA Dubai) has introduced a new "Happiness Card" designed to support Emirati couples as they begin their married lives. Through a strategic partnership with the Community Development Authority (CDA), this initiative aims to alleviate the financial and logistical burdens of planning a wedding. Aligned with the goals of the Dubai Social Agenda 33, the program seeks to foster family stability and improve the overall quality of life for citizens across the emirate.

Eligible couples participating in the Dubai Weddings program will receive these cards completely free of charge, granting them access to a curated selection of discounts, exclusive offers, and various lifestyle benefits. To mark the launch, the first set of cards was ceremoniously presented to two newly married couples during the official signing of the Memorandum of Understanding. Moving forward, the authorities plan to roll out comprehensive awareness campaigns to ensure all beneficiaries fully understand how to utilize the card’s features to make their wedding celebrations more seamless and affordable.
