Dubai Municipality has officially opened bookings for the 2026–2027 winter camping season at Al Ruwayyah, with a massive 120 percent increase in capacity. UAE nationals can now reserve their spots for a season running from November 1 to April 30. The expansion introduces 50 dedicated caravan plots and 10 fully equipped camps for daily rentals, catering to those who prefer a hassle-free outdoor experience. Families can choose from various plot sizes, including expansive 800-square-metre options, and can complete their reservations easily through the DubaiNow app or the dedicated municipal website.

Beyond providing space for private camping, the site is evolving into a vibrant community hub. The development features 10 specialized areas for social gatherings, family events, and seasonal markets, along with designated zones for government entities. Furthermore, the initiative is opening doors for local small and medium-sized enterprises to provide food, beverage, and recreational services on-site. Bader Anwahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency, emphasized that these upgrades reflect a long-term commitment to enhancing Dubai’s outdoor leisure scene, offering a safe and well-organized environment for families to enjoy the cooler months while boosting the local entrepreneurial spirit.
