According to data released by Digital Dubai and the Dubai Data and Statistics Establishment, the city saw a notable increase of 332,000 residents in just one year. This 7.5 percent growth rate is particularly significant, ranking as one of the fastest expansions in the emirate's history, trailing only the record 8.2 percent growth observed during the 1980 census. This spike in residency follows the launch of the ‘Dubai Population Now’ initiative, a sophisticated real-time monitoring system designed to track urban expansion.

Beyond the permanent resident count, the city experiences a massive influx of people throughout the day, highlighting its status as a global hub for business and tourism. During peak daylight hours, the number of individuals physically present in the emirate swells to approximately 6.392 million. This daily surge accounts for an additional 1.812 million people who enter the city for work, study, shopping, or leisure. These figures underscore the dynamic nature of Dubai’s infrastructure, which must accommodate a shifting daily population that significantly exceeds its official resident count.
