UAE weather forecast: Cooling temperatures and dusty conditions ahead

Fri, May 22, 2026(45d ago)UAE

Residents across the UAE can look forward to a generally fair day on May 23, though the National Centre of Meteorology has warned that dusty spells are likely throughout the region. As the weather shifts, temperatures are expected to see a slight decline. In Dubai, the mercury will hover between 28°C and 36°C, while Abu Dhabi will see ranges from 25°C to 37°C, and Sharjah is set for a milder 27°C to 36°C.

Light to moderate winds will blow from the northwesterly to southwesterly directions, picking up speed at times to reach up to 40 kmph. This movement is expected to stir up sand and dust, particularly in western areas. Meanwhile, those heading to the coast should prepare for moderate to rough conditions in the Arabian Gulf, while the Oman Sea is expected to remain relatively calm with slight to moderate waves.
