Dubai has experienced a notable improvement in transport safety and compliance, with passenger transport violations falling by 21 percent in the first half of 2026. Data from the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) shows that officials recorded approximately 30,000 violations, a significant decrease from the 38,000 cases noted during the same period last year. This positive trend follows a surge in enforcement, with the RTA conducting over 1.6 million inspections across various sectors, including school transport, public buses, and tourist vehicles.

The authority attributes this success to the integration of smart data analytics and increased collaboration with departments like Airport Security and Criminal Investigation. These joint efforts have been particularly effective in curbing illegal transport, with violations involving unlicensed vehicles dropping by 57 percent. With compliance rates reaching as high as 97.8 percent in the public transport sector, RTA officials remain focused on maintaining high service standards and passenger safety through consistent monitoring and strategic field operations.
