UAE Reaffirms Commitment to Gaza Through Joyful Mass Wedding
Anwar Gargash, a senior adviser to the UAE President, recently emphasized that the humanitarian needs of the Palestinian people in Gaza remain a top priority for his nation, regardless of how global attention shifts toward other world events. Highlighting the success of a mass wedding ceremony held under the "Operation Gallant Knight 3" initiative, Gargash described the UAEâs aid strategy as a consistent, noble legacy. The event, which celebrated 250 couples, served as a poignant reminder that humanitarian efforts are not just about survival, but about fostering hope and restoring a sense of normalcy amidst the ongoing hardships in the enclave.
This initiative is part of a broader, long-term commitment that began when Operation Gallant Knight 3 was launched in late 2023. Over the past three years, the UAE has been a cornerstone of international relief, contributing over 136,000 tonnes of aid, including critical food, medical supplies, and support for community bakeries and kitchens. By funding essential infrastructure and seasonal relief projectsâsuch as providing winter clothing and heating for nearly a million peopleâthe UAE continues to prove that its dedication to the welfare of Gazans goes well beyond news cycles, aiming to provide sustainable support for families as they attempt to build a future.
