Gold Prices Remain Stable in Dubai as Investors Weigh Global Economic Shifts
Gold prices in Dubai maintained a steady course during Friday morning trading, providing a sense of stability for local investors. According to the latest data from the Dubai Jewellery Group, 24K gold opened at Dh526.75 per gram, while 22K variant held at Dh487.25. Other denominations saw similar consistency, with 21K, 18K, and 14K gold trading at Dh467.25, Dh400.5, and Dh312.5 per gram, respectively. On the global stage, spot gold hovered at $4,366 per ounce, even as silver managed a modest 0.8 percent uptick to reach $66.12.
Market experts suggest that the precious metal’s performance is currently being pulled in two directions by macroeconomic factors. While hawkish rhetoric from the Federal Reserve regarding potential interest rate hikes puts downward pressure on gold, ongoing geopolitical tensions and concerns over energy costs continue to bolster its appeal as a safe-haven asset. Analysts note that as investors navigate a complex landscape of fluctuating Treasury yields and shifting inflation data, gold remains a key focal point for those looking to hedge against political uncertainty and broader economic instability.
