UAE Weather Forecast: Dusty Conditions Expected as Temperatures Climb

Wed, May 13, 2026(100d ago)UAE

The National Centre of Meteorology has forecasted generally fair conditions across the UAE for Thursday, May 14. While the skies will remain clear, residents should prepare for light to moderate winds shifting from northwesterly to southwesterly directions. These gusts, ranging between 10 km/hr and 25 km/hr and occasionally peaking at 40 km/hr, are expected to stir up blowing dust in northern and eastern regions throughout the day.

As for the heat, temperatures are on the rise across the major emirates. Abu Dhabi is set to reach a high of 39°C, while Dubai and Sharjah can expect peaks of 36°C and 37°C, respectively. Evening lows will settle around 26°C in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, dipping to 23°C in Sharjah. Meanwhile, maritime conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea will start as slight to moderate, though experts warn that the sea state could become rougher as the afternoon progresses.
