UAE weather update: Fair conditions and rising temperatures expected across the country

Fri, May 15, 2026(53d ago)UAE

Residents across the UAE can look forward to generally fair weather this Saturday, May 16, with the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) predicting partly cloudy skies, particularly in eastern regions. While the overall outlook remains stable, the mercury is set to climb slightly. Temperatures are forecast to hit a high of 39°C in Abu Dhabi, while Dubai and Sharjah will see peak temperatures of 37°C and 38°C, respectively.

Meteorologists report that light to moderate winds, blowing from the northwesterly and southwesterly directions, will persist throughout the day with speeds reaching up to 35 kmph. Sea conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are expected to remain slight to moderate. Despite the pleasant start to the weekend, authorities have advised that the stable conditions are likely to be interrupted by periodic bouts of dusty and windy weather through May 19, as shifting winds may stir up sand and dust across the region.
