CBSE Grade 12 Results: A Guide to Verification and Re-evaluation Processes

Sat, May 16, 2026(97d ago)UAE

Following the release of the 2026 CBSE Grade 12 results, many students have expressed concerns regarding their scores, particularly in light of the new on-screen marking system. While the board has defended the transition to digital evaluation—highlighting benefits like increased transparency, reduced human error, and improved efficiency—students who remain unsatisfied with their marks have the option to seek further review. The board has emphasized that its evaluation process is designed to be fair and equitable, with all examiners undergoing rigorous training to maintain high standards.

For students wishing to challenge their results, the process begins by requesting a scanned copy of their answer book through the official CBSE portal. Candidates must apply between May 19 and May 22, paying a processing fee of Rs700 per subject. Once the digital copy is obtained, students should carefully compare their responses against the official marking scheme available on the CBSE website. If discrepancies are found, they may apply for verification or formal re-evaluation between May 26 and May 29. It is crucial to note that all applications must be submitted by the students themselves, and they should be prepared for the possibility that re-evaluation could result in either an increase or a decrease in their final marks.
