New Indian Passport Fees Set for UAE Residents Starting July 2026
Starting July 1, 2026, Indian expatriates living in the UAE will face a significant increase in passport service fees. The Consulate General of India in Dubai has confirmed that this updated pricing structure will be implemented uniformly across the Embassy in Abu Dhabi, the Dubai Consulate, and all outsourced Indian Consular Application Centres (ICACs) throughout the country. This adjustment marks the first major fee revision in 14 years, aligning with a global initiative by the Indian government to standardize consular charges across all its missions worldwide.
For standard 36-page passports, the cost for adults will rise to Dh450, representing a 60 percent increase from the current Dh285, while the expedited Tatkaal service will cost Dh900. Minors will also see a substantial hike, with standard 36-page passports moving to Dh325, though children under the age of eight remain eligible for a 10 percent discount on fresh applications. Furthermore, replacing lost or damaged documents will become more expensive, and miscellaneous services like Police Clearance Certificates will see a price jump to Dh145. It is important to note that these figures are base rates and do not include the additional service charges levied by the new outsourced provider, Alhind Tours and Travels LLC, or the Indian Community Welfare Fund (ICWF) contributions.
