Armenia Extends Visa-Free Access for GCC Travelers Until 2027

Tue, Jul 7, 2026(45d ago)UAE

Armenia has officially extended its visa-free travel policy for citizens and residents of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, ensuring the nation remains a top destination for travelers from the region. The policy, which allows for stays of up to 180 days within a one-year period, will now remain in effect until July 1, 2027. By eliminating the need for cumbersome visa applications, embassy appointments, and extra paperwork, Armenia has solidified its status as one of the most accessible and convenient vacation spots for those residing in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman.

The extension arrives just in time for the peak summer season, providing a much-needed escape from the intense heat of the Middle East. Beyond GCC nationals, the exemption also covers international residents holding valid residence permits from the US, the EU, and the Schengen Area, provided their documents remain valid for at least six months. Whether visitors are looking to explore the vibrant culture of Yerevan, hike through lush mountain valleys, or visit historic UNESCO-listed landmarks, this simplified travel process makes planning a spontaneous getaway to the South Caucasus easier than ever.
