Abu Dhabi Expands Paid Parking in Musaffah to Boost Traffic Efficiency

Mon, May 18, 2026(95d ago)UAE

Starting May 18, the third phase of Abu Dhabi’s initiative to regulate vehicle movement will officially roll out in Musaffah, adding 3,921 new surface parking spaces across sectors M5, M6, M21, M22, and M23. Managed by Q Mobility under the supervision of the Integrated Transport Centre, this project aims to address the growing issue of illegal parking and traffic congestion in one of the emirate's busiest industrial and commercial hubs. Users can easily manage their payments via the Darb or TAMM apps, SMS, or physical kiosks, with a standard rate of Dh2 per hour, while ensuring dedicated spaces remain accessible for People of Determination.

This strategic expansion is part of a broader, multi-phase effort that began earlier in 2026 to modernize parking infrastructure across the capital. By formalizing these high-traffic areas, the authorities intend to improve overall road safety and simplify access for both business owners and daily visitors. Following the successful implementation of the first two phases earlier this year, this latest update marks a significant step toward creating a more organized, sustainable, and user-friendly transport environment for everyone working and traveling in the Musaffah region.
