UAE Security Leaders Unveil AI-Centric Strategy for Future Protection

Tue, May 19, 2026(94d ago)UAE

At the ISNR Abu Dhabi 2026 conference, top UAE security officials outlined a comprehensive vision for safeguarding the nation against evolving digital and hybrid threats. High-ranking leaders, including the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, and the Commanders-in-Chief of Dubai and Sharjah Police, emphasized that future national security depends on a blend of advanced AI integration, robust digital infrastructure, and specialized human talent. By prioritizing predictive analytics and early-warning systems, the UAE aims to transition toward a more proactive defense posture, ensuring that government entities can coordinate seamlessly to address crises before they escalate.

The discussion also highlighted the critical shift in modern warfare, where social stability is frequently targeted through misinformation and digital manipulation. Dubai Police Chief Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri underscored that the UAE is actively countering these hybrid risks through forward-thinking legislation and enhanced cybersecurity protocols, pointing to past successes like the pandemic response as proof of the country’s institutional resilience. Complementing this, Sharjah Police Chief Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer stressed that public awareness serves as a vital shield, particularly in shielding families and children from harmful online content. Ultimately, these leaders affirmed that while AI is essential to the future of safety, its deployment must remain tethered to strict ethical frameworks, ensuring transparency and human oversight remain at the heart of national security decisions.
