Sharjah Announces Adjusted Park Timings for Eid Al Adha 2026

Thu, May 21, 2026(92d ago)UAE

With the long-awaited Eid Al Adha holiday approaching, Sharjah authorities have unveiled the updated operating schedules for the city's public parks to accommodate families planning festive outings. From May 27 to May 29, the majority of parks will follow a split-shift schedule, welcoming visitors during the morning hours from 6 am to 1 pm and again in the evening from 4 pm until midnight. Meanwhile, those heading to Sharjah National Park or Al Rolla Park can enjoy extended access, as both locations will remain open continuously from 7:30 am to 12 am.

These adjustments come as residents across the UAE prepare for a significant break, with holiday durations varying by sector. Federal government employees are set for a generous stretch, while Sharjah government staff—who benefit from the emirate’s unique three-day weekend—are looking at an impressive 10-day hiatus. Private sector workers will also enjoy a paid four-day holiday starting on May 26. These diverse schedules provide a perfect opportunity for the community to make the most of Sharjah’s green spaces throughout the festive period.
