Dubai Airports prepares to welcome 3,600 Hajj pilgrims

Thu, May 21, 2026(92d ago)UAE

Dubai International Airport is gearing up to facilitate a smooth journey for more than 3,600 Hajj pilgrims, accounting for nearly 60 percent of all UAE travelers heading to the holy sites. With departure flights running through May 23 via major carriers like Emirates, Saudia, flydubai, and flynas, the airport has implemented a comprehensive operational plan. This strategy involves close collaboration with entities such as Dubai Police, Customs, and health authorities to manage the surge in traffic while ensuring that every pilgrim experiences a seamless transition from check-in to departure.

To provide a comfortable and stress-free experience, the airport has introduced a variety of dedicated services, including specialized check-in counters, shorter walking distances, and complimentary gift packs. On-site support is a major priority, with multilingual staff, prayer rooms, and enhanced medical services available to assist elderly travelers and those needing mobility aid. As the travel period intensifies, officials are urging pilgrims to arrive at least four hours before their flights, ensure all necessary permits and health documentation are in order, and prepare for their return trip, which will feature prioritized handling for items like Zamzam water.
