Dubai’s Eid Al Adha Transport Guide: Metro, Parking, and Bus Updates

Sat, May 23, 2026(90d ago)UAE

As Dubai gears up for the Eid Al Adha celebrations, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has introduced a comprehensive plan to ensure seamless travel across the city. Motorists will be pleased to know that public parking zones—excluding multi-story facilities—will be free of charge from May 25 to May 29, 2026. Meanwhile, the Dubai Metro and Tram will maintain extended operating hours throughout the holiday period to accommodate the festive crowds, with the RTA specifically recommending the Metro for travelers heading to the airport to avoid potential congestion.

For those relying on public buses, the RTA has implemented temporary adjustments to several intercity routes between May 23 and May 31. Most notably, the E100 route from Al Ghubaiba to Abu Dhabi will be suspended, and passengers are directed to use the E101 route from Ibn Battuta Station instead. While most RTA Customer Happiness Centres will remain closed for the holiday, 24/7 smart kiosks will continue to provide essential services. Travelers looking for specific details on marine transport or updated bus schedules are encouraged to consult the S'hail app or visit the official RTA website to plan their trips effectively.
