UAE Announces Free Parking Across Four Emirates for Eid Al Adha 2026

Sat, May 23, 2026(90d ago)UAE

As the UAE gears up for the extended Eid Al Adha celebrations, authorities in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Ajman have announced free public parking to help residents enjoy the holiday break. With the public sector enjoying a potential nine-day holiday and private sector employees receiving a significant break, these parking waivers are set to simplify travel for families and visitors alike. While the specific dates for free parking vary by emirate, most regions are offering free access to public bays starting from May 25, allowing for a stress-free experience as everyone gathers for festivities.

Dubai and Abu Dhabi are leading the initiative with six days of free parking, inclusive of the regular Sunday waivers. In Dubai, motorists can enjoy free parking from Sunday, May 24, through Friday, May 29, while Abu Dhabi will mirror this period from May 25 to May 29, with the added benefit of toll-free transit on several Darb gates. Ajman will offer four days of free parking starting Tuesday, May 26, until Friday, May 29. Meanwhile, Sharjah has confirmed three days of complimentary parking, covering the first three days of the festival from Wednesday, May 27, to Friday, May 29. Residents should keep in mind that these exemptions generally apply to public street parking, and normal fee structures are expected to resume across all emirates by May 30 or 31.
