NEET UG 2026 Cancellation Leaves UAE Students in State of Uncertainty

Tue, May 12, 2026(56d ago)UAE

The recent decision to scrap the NEET UG 2026 exam has left over 1,800 students across the UAE reeling. Having dedicated months, and in many cases years, to rigorous preparation, these aspirants are now facing the emotional and academic toll of a sudden reset. The cancellation, spurred by reports of potential question paper leaks and malpractice in India, has created significant frustration among students who felt confident about their performance on May 3. Many are now struggling with the logistical nightmare of realigning their study schedules while managing the stress of other pending entrance exams.

In response to the confusion, UAE school officials are stepping in to provide much-needed guidance and stability. Principals have confirmed that the National Testing Agency (NTA) will cover the costs for the upcoming re-examination, and students will not be required to re-register or switch their testing centers. Educators, such as those at The Indian High Group of Schools, are actively offering mental health support, mock tests, and revision sessions to help students maintain their focus. While the situation is undoubtedly a setback, school leaders are encouraging candidates to view this delay as an extra window of opportunity to refine their knowledge and approach the next exam with renewed resilience.
