Air India Express Expands Connectivity Between Abu Dhabi and India
Air India Express has officially expanded its flight network from Zayed International Airport, introducing a brand-new direct route to Amritsar and bringing back service to the popular leisure destination of Goa. Both routes officially took flight on October 25 and are currently operating on a thrice-weekly schedule. These additions are designed to meet the growing demand for travel among tourists, business professionals, and expatriates looking to visit friends and family, effectively strengthening the cultural and economic bonds between the UAE and India.
This strategic move builds upon the airline's aggressive expansion in the region over the last year, which has seen new services launched to cities like Pune, Lucknow, and Navi Mumbai. With these latest updates, Air India Express now manages a robust network connecting Abu Dhabi to 17 different Indian cities, totaling roughly 160 flights each week. Leadership from both Abu Dhabi Airports and the airline emphasized that these routes are a testament to the importance of the UAE-India travel corridor and their ongoing commitment to enhancing regional connectivity.
