Emaar Properties reports robust growth for H1 with Dh11.1 billion net profit
Emaar Properties has announced a strong financial performance for the first half of the year, reporting a 26% jump in net profit to Dh11.15 billion. This growth was fueled by a 21% increase in revenue, which reached Dh23.9 billion, alongside a 24% rise in EBITDA. The developer’s success was underpinned by significant property sales of Dh26.6 billion and a healthy revenue backlog of Dh164.9 billion, highlighting sustained demand across its diverse portfolio.
The company's UAE-based operations were a key engine for this growth, with Emaar Development recording a 30% increase in revenue as the firm launched 11 new projects. Beyond residential development, Emaar’s malls and retail division maintained a strong 98% occupancy rate, contributing to a stable recurring income stream. Founder Mohamed Alabbar attributed these solid results to the company's disciplined execution and Dubai’s ongoing economic expansion, noting that the newly announced Dh200 billion masterplan further bolsters Emaar’s long-term development pipeline.
